Dental implants are a modern method of replacing missing teeth. At Staplehurst Dental Practice in Kent we can replace one, some, or even all of your natural teeth with implants, restoring not just a beautiful smile but also full functionality to your jaw, enabling you to eat exactly what you wish.
More people than ever before are reaping the benefits of using dental implants to replace their missing teeth, thanks to advances in techniques, materials, and technology.
Dental implants are suitable for people with one or more missing teeth, those whose remaining teeth are failing and cannot be saved, and people who currently wear traditional dentures.
We welcome new patients at our Kentdental practice for implant consultations, to discover how you could soon be enjoying the functionality of a full mouth of healthy teeth once again.
When you come into Staplehurst Dental Practice in Kent for an implant consultation, one of our experienced and skilled implant dentists will undertake a full clinical examination, including using x-rays, CT scans, and impressions as necessary to help with planning your dental implants.
In the majority of cases only local anaesthetic is needed for the placement of implants, although our Kent implant dentists do also offer treatment under sedation if you are nervous.
After extensive planning, the required number of implants are placed in direct contact with your jaw bone in a minor oral surgical procedure. For most patients, a healing period of a few months is needed to give your implants time to mesh with your jaw bone. However, in some cases, when all the teeth in one jaw need to be placed, your permanent new teeth are attached at the same time in a procedure known as “All-on-4”.
